My first internship actually came before I got to university. I completed my first internship with WFYI News Radio in the summer before my 12th-grade school year. WFYI is one of the largest affiliates of National Public Radio in the midwest, and it remains the largest in Indiana. During the internship, I covered local politics and national political candidates who came to the Indianapolis area. 

The United States Government Accountability Office is one of the most important agencies in our federal government. It is our supreme audit institution. As part of my internship on its public affairs team, I worked with my superiors to overhaul the use of our Instagram account and pioneered a standards of practices document.

As a communications/public affairs intern, I drafted documents for internal and external stakeholders. I also assisted with its publishing team's work to edit research papers and other public-facing documents. Niskanen Center is one of our country's leading think tanks on climate, energy, housing, and immigration policy. 

For a just over a year, I assisted in marketing and business development for Chrysalis Global, a top-notch consulting firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. The firm mostly specializes in operational readiness, activation, and transition services for airports and airlines across the country. As part of my internship, I helped develop business proposal documents for projects.
